Kelvin Lim

Master Certified Coach, ICF
Principal Coach & Program Leader, ECI
Human Development Specialist

"Do your work."

At 36, Kelvin is the only Master Certified Coach in S.E.A and 1 of 4 in the whole of Asia. To date, he has worked with over 3,500 people directly and 10,000 people indirectly. He set up Executive Coach International Pte Ltd in 2004 and within 2 years, single-handedly produced 12 internationally certified coaches recognized by the International Coach Federation based in the USA. His current and former affiliations include International Coach Federation, Graduate School of Coaching, School of Coaching, Coachville, National Speaker's Association, MENSA (Singapore) and Toastmasters. Recognized for his intelligence and mastery, Kelvin’s track record of success comes from his hard work, solid foundations and unorthodox edge.

Kelvin started his life on stage at a young age of 5 at the encouragement of his mother. He was accepted into Rosyth Primary School, well known for its gifted students, and since then, was involved in numerous school skits and plays, chalking up experience and building comfort in front of a live audience. By the time he was 16, he was leading and giving speeches to his men in the National Cadet Corp (Air) where he was the Company Sergeant Major of Squadron 01. As a student in Victoria Junior College, Kelvin was an active member in the Debate Team.

In 1993, Kelvin moved on to joining the National Speakers’ Association in Melbourne, Australia. 2 years later, he became part of Toastmasters International, where his hard work started to pay off, and his talents started to shine. In 1996, Kelvin was part of the Executive Committee that brought Braddell Heights to 5th in the world (Category D; 40 members & above), receiving the Presidents’ Distinguished Club Award. He was also ‘Club Speech Contest Champion’ that year. In 1998, he started Braddell Heights II Club that became 2nd in the world (Category A) in its 1st year, again receiving the Presidents’ Distinguished Club Award. He also snagged ‘Club Speech Contest Champion’, ‘Area Humor Speech Contest Champion’, ‘Area Humor Speech Contest 1st runner up’ and made it as a finalist to the National Humor Speech Contest.

Kelvin brought his speaking skills and gifts to the next level in 1999 when he became the Club Mentor for Life Underwriters’ Association Toastmasters Club, leading it to become the 2nd in the world (Category A) in its 1st year – obtaining yet again the Presidents’ Distinguished Club Award. He was later invited to be the Division Speech Contest judge. As a committed coach and mentor, he produced Singapore’s ‘Regional (South East Asia) Humor Speech Champion’ that same year.

In the meantime, Kelvin was getting himself involved in coaching, and in 1999, graduated from Coach University and subsequently Corporate Coach University in 2001. Since then, he has played a significant part in contributing to the growth of the Asian coaching platform, spreading coaching and training several of the key coaches in Asia. He set up his private coaching practice that eventually evolved into an international organization with clients all over the world - Europe, China, Malaysia and Brunei to name a few. They range from senior executives and managing directors to mentoring coaches and entrepreneurs, young executives, celebrities, sportsmen, school teachers, students and couples. His recent public speaking engagements include ‘Propnex Quarterly Leadership Meeting’, ‘GAMA Annual Leadership Conference’ and ‘Champions of Change Seminar’.

His coaching style is direct, crisp and precise and is often described by his students as artful and even ingenious. His devotion to pushing the boundaries of human transformation, coupled with his humor and compassion, has earned him the respect and love from many clients and students.
