On his way to becoming the best builder of his generation, Dave runs a successful local SME dealing with construction and development projects. In the 18 months since he started on his career, he increased his project portfolio by 350% to S$3.5m. At 27, he is currently working on projects exceeding S$10m. All this whilst in the midst of taking over the company from this father and furthering his specialist education. Dave’s performance ability comes from his effectiveness in people and project management – he currently manages a team of 20 men in his organization.

Highly dependable, focused and charismatic, Dave’s lean has always been of leadership in teams. A student councilor in Temasek Junior Colleague, he moved on to being a member of the Engineering Club Executive Committee and the reputable Dragonboat Team in the National University of Singapore. He is highly passionate about life and displays an ease in his balance – his past-time activities range from reading, chilling at the beach, grocery shopping and business and networking.

Dave as a coach provides relational comfort to his clients, and yet is strict on his clients. He is firmness calls on his clients initiative and responsibility to work hard and smart together with him.

“What made you take up coaching and how did that change your life?

I started out with coaching on ‘personal’ reasons; wanting to improve my abilities so that I can become stronger, better, more attractive, more discipline & focused in the things I do, gain clarity in life.
What I got out of coaching was more that I asked for. Not only did achieved the things I set out to do; I found out that there was a part of me that wanted to contribute to society, that it was very satisfying to help my coachees achieve their breakthroughs & lead more fulfilling lives;

And when I began to be a coach, I began to develop other qualities, e.g. humility, love for people, empathy. Coaching is where I can play a strong role in making the world a better a place.”
